About Us

An initiative of the Growth Alberta Partnership, the Resilient Futures Summit Series was born from a simple idea: that progress in northern Alberta affects us all and should be built together. What started as a regional conversation among municipalities and counties has grown into a shared movement, connecting communities, industry, and innovation around a common goal: long-term prosperity that doesn’t leave people behind.

Each year, the summit zeroes in on a new theme that reflects both the challenges and strengths of our region. Some years, that means tackling emissions and energy transition. In future years, it might mean focusing on workforce development, housing, or the social threads that hold small communities together.

At its heart, Resilient Futures is about connection: between leaders and residents, between the economy and the environment, between growth and belonging. Because building a stronger future isn’t just about policies or technology. It’s about people, place, and the willingness to keep showing up for both.

Mission
To bring together communities, industries, and innovators across northern Alberta to share knowledge, build connections, and create actionable solutions that strengthen regional resilience—socially, economically, and environmentally.

Vision
A future where Alberta’s communities thrive through collaboration, adaptability, and sustainable growth—where prosperity is measured not only by economic success, but by the well-being of people and the vitality of the places they call home.
